History and Goal:

Webalix.com was born in 2002 out of the experience that beeing a Hosting company involves to many manual steps.
After intense research of the the major control panel software on the market we decided on H-Sphere, the only software that has all the processes to run a hosting business integrated. From Signup to setup to billing and Trouble ticket system everything is in one place.
This becomes more and more important the more customers you have. Fully automated Signup as well as suspending of overdue customers allows you to concentrate on solving the real problems that your customers might have.

After offering Reseller Hosting underneath a normal Hosting company we realized that Resellers want more anonymity so we founded Webalix.com as a seperate division with no ties to the old Hosting Company. Your Customers will not be able to find out that you are a reseller. We are completely hidden.

Technology:

Webalix Servers are located in three state of the art datacenters.
One of them being the Main Datacenter containing 90% of our Systems and
the other being mainly used for backup and monitoring purposes.
All facilities offer complete redundancy in power, HVAC, fire suppression, network connectivity, and security.
New are two Services that are rare to find in the reseller hosting industry and included for free and completly transparent to all our hosting reseller clients:
1) Tippingpoint Intrusion Prevention Systems covering our whole reseller hosting network

2) A Distributed Denial of Service protection system that combined with our imense bandwidth is able to fight of DDOS attacks against our clients.

Our Servers:

The Majority of our systems are Linux based some Servers are also using Windows 2003, all are Dell based.
Our CENTRAL Control Panel enables us to never need to mix applications on one Server. Most other Control Panels out there (PLESK for example ) require you to have Database, Web and Mail Service on every single machine. Not so with us.

Every Server only needs to serve one specific task. This enables us to configure the Server especially for its task.
The Mail Servers for example are using 15000RPM harddrives to achive an excellent performance. The MySQL/PostgreSQL Servers on the other side are equiped with more memory to accomplish superior speed for its task.

The result, unseen performance and the ability to adjust Server specs to what that server needs, without needing to compromise.
Routine maintenance on one Service does not effect the others at all. As an example, an upgrade or patch on the control panel will not not interput your website, database or e-mail service.
